VORTEX

I’ve been in one lately and I’m staying on for the ride.

1.  I’m going to be a photographer for Boston’s Weekly Dig at SXSW.  Hello Austin, TX for 6 days!   NO IDEA HOW THIS HAPPENED!

2.  The Bitter End called me … wanted to have me play.  ”oh hey, its the song-bird from Brooklyn”.   NO IDEA HOW THIS HAPPENED EITHER!?

3.  For Christmas my best gifts were the ones that are keeping me on my path.  Not sure where it ends, but who wants to know that?!

- A portfolio for my photographs ;)

- 2 books on photography including one with all sorts of creative projects

- A book on marketing your songs;)

There are a few things I have discovered this past week that I would like to share for the holidays.

1. Last minute shopping in New York City can be achieved.  But do not strive for this.

2. Jersey Boys is amazing and nothing will really ever surpass the music of the 50s for me.  Ever.

3. Ethiopian food is my favorite food.  Of 2009 at least … Not sure you can top it.

4. If you throw your desires and dreams into the wind, they will boomerang back to you in full blow, life-size, realities.

5. Always keep in touch and stay open to resources.  Your friend from the deli, or the lady who makes your lattes may be your biggest source of connection.

6. Does it make you happy?  Then keep doing it.  Keep going.
