The Colosseum
The day we went to the Colosseum was my favorite day on the entire trip.  It was pouring rain.  Everyone was huddled under their umbrellas. Drenched. Typically, when travelers visit this place they are voyeurs.  They see what they want to.  Observe the historical site - contemplate their place in history.  They observe the decay and the erosion of time.  They stand in awe, finding it impossible...
